Music Fridays # 54: Park Celebration Songs

Hello and welcome back to Music Fridays. I know I originally said that it was going to be about Park Celebrations but I've changed my mind as I've run into a stumbling block there and instead I'm just going to feature music from the parks.

Remember The Magic

This song comes from the 25th anniversary of Walt Disney World and I must say that I truly enjoy it and I honestly think it has the feeling of a Disney song. Now I know that sounds silly but these songs aren't as well known as other Disney songs but this one to me shows that they still try to make them special and I love the way this plays on nostalgia and I honestly believe that it is trying to conjure up memories of  times at Walt Disney World and I think it works in doing that. I really enjoy that and I think this is one of the best non attraction Park songs I've heard.

Celebrate The Future ( Hand in Hand)

This song comes from the Epcot Millennium celebration and it has a very Epcot feel to it, which I like. It reminds me a lot of the songs I've previously looked at from this park, I think Epcot has some of the best park music and this is a great example of good park music as this honestly sounds like something that you could hear on the radio.  To me this song is hopeful and you need hope and this shows that park music can be good.

Share a Dream Come True

This song right here was part of the Share  Dream Come True parade that was part of 100 Years of Magic in celebration of  what would've been Walt's 100th birthday.    It was a great celebration and I remember going there during that year and seeing the parade this was attached to.  It was a really cool parade even if I found myself nitpicking the poor actor playing Walt in the parade but it was a nice touch having the parade start with Walt as this year was meant to symbolize how he accomplished. As for this song, it's sweet and I like how it reflects on Disney as a whole and basically saying, it's okay to remember the times you enjoyed as a kid.

Well, there you have it, I hope that you enjoyed this shorter than usual Music Fridays but the reason for that is because well,   I think these are the three best Celebration songs.  Join me next week for a fun experiment as I take two song form the cult classic Newsies and compare them to stage counterparts.
