Not too long ago, we took a look at The Voices of Liberty and I promised that we would return to them to look at their Christmas set. Well, today is that day. Let's get started.
The First Noel
How can this song not make you feel good? It just warms my heart. It is just so beautiful. This has to be one of the best versions of this song, I've heard. It just makes me so happy! And really isn't that what Christmas is supposed to do. Again, I'm amazed by the power these people have with their voices. It's astonishing.
Deck The Halls
Okay, this and the last song actually give me the feeling of carolers. Something that is often associated with Christmas but it seems to have died out. At least it's never happened anywhere I lived and this is probably the closest I'll get to that but I love it but I still like The First Noel better. Don't get me wrong, this is really good but The First Noel was just so beautiful.
Joy To The World
I must admit a fear that I had with these songs was that they would sound too preachy and make me think of church. And while it does kind of make me think of church, I get the image of a church on a snow top mountain attending at Christmas Eve listening to the Voices of Liberty sing. I guess picturing church isn't always a bad thing. Again, this is another great song.
Let There Be Peace On Earth
Okay, they get bonus points for signing the song. This song again just makes me so happy. And I agree with the message, let's be peaceful and try to make this world a better place to live. This was such a fun listen. I truly enjoyed this performance.
