Halloween: Top 6 Henchmen

Hey guys,  if you recall when I started this I did a Top Male Villains and Female Villains.  Well, today I have decided to do a countdown of my Top 6 favorite henchmen.

6.  The Beagle Boys

Now yes, I know that The Beagle Boys were featured as villains on DuckTales but they have been around longer than that and also, I have always felt that they worked better as henchmen than as the main villains just for the fact because while they are strong and cunning, they seem to lack the smarts that it needs to make a great villain.  Now do not get me wrong, they are fine but I think when they are given orders by another villain such as Pete, they work better than when they are left to their own devices.

5.   LeFou  - Beauty and The Beast

Ah, LeFou what a lovable fool.  He is just so funny.  I love the guy because even though Gaston picks on him, he truly looks up to the guy and it's almost like hero worship.  Again, he may not be the smartest but he is one of the funniest henchmen around.  I always laugh when I see this guy and he sure knows how to cheer up his pals.

4.  The Toys of Sunnyside - Toy Story 3

Sure, these toys look innocent enough but after Andy's toys spend enough time there, we start to learn the truth, We see that Lot-s-o' runs that place like a tight prison and the toys are his guards.  They may look cute on the outside but Lot-s-o' convinced them to follow his lead and ruled them with an iron thumb. Metaphorically speaking.  The best part of these toys is all deceiving they look on the outside.  They look all nice and happy but we see that they are twisted little creatures because of Lot-s-o' had done to them.

3.  Magic Mirror - Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs

Magic Mirror while a simple character is such a fun character with his voice and his appearance. That is some of the coolest animation that I have ever seen on any animated character.  His voice just gives him such a presence to where he commands the scene whenever he is onscreen.  Besides that, what other henchmen has had such a lasting impact on Disney in a whole to the point where he actually got to host some Halloween specials and actually interact with Walt, himself.

2.  Shenzi, Banzai, & Ed (The Hyenas) - The Lion King

I'm just going to come out and say it, in that I think the Hyenas were actually better than Scar.  They may not have been the brightest but they sure were some of the funniest and they sure held a grudge.  Now my favorite is Ed, I know no big surprise there because who doesn't love Ed.  They are all great and while they may not have been the smartest, they sure know how to work a plan and have things come out in their favor. I also think that they have one of the best songs from the play.

Now it might just be me but I really love that song and I think in some ways, it makes these three seem more threatening. Go figure that Whoopi Goldberg was in two different groups on this list.

1. The Weasels - Wind In The Willows

Out of all the Disney henchmen, I had to go with The Weasels from Wind In The Willows as my # 1 choice.  Why, because next to Mr. Toad they still the show in that short and they are just so much fun. They are cunning, funny and ruthless.  Not to mention there is a huge hoard of them working for Mr. Winky.  Those faces just have a look of evil and were going to mess you up on them.  Let's not forget that they were also brought back in The Prince and The Pauper and there they worked for Pete.  Though granted, I felt The Beagle Boys would  have been better henchmen for Pete. Even still, The Weasels were once again so much fun in that short even if they had less screen time.   Just as I preferred the Hyenas over Scar, I found The Weasels to be more intimidating than Mr. Winky but I think that worked to his favor because you weren't supposed to think he was that threatening while The Weasels looked like the real threat. Fun fact for ya,  The Toon Patrol in Who Framed Roger Rabbit were based on The Weasels.

If you look closely, I think you can see the resemblances between these two groups of henchmen.
