Christmas: Top 6 Christmas Moments of Disney Animation

Hello and welcome back. Well, today we hit our Top 6 and this year,  I have decided to mostly focus on
Christmas moments of  Disney animation.  A bit hard but doable.  With that out of the way, let's begin.  Now, there is one moment on here that is from a film that has nothing to do with Christmas but I wanted to include it anyways.

6.  Jim Dear Giving Lady to Darling - Lady and the Tramp

As stated this is the moment I was talking about in the opening.  This comes at the beginning of the film when Jim Dear gives Lady to Darling.  Now she's just an adorable little puppy at this point and right at this moment, you can see how much Darling loves Lady and that Lady brings her so much and is happy to have her in her life.  Lady just makes her so happy and it is such an adorable moment that I had to include it on this list.

5.    Ron Going Solo on A Mission - A Very Possible Christmas (Kim Possible)

It's another Christmas but for a hero, their work is never done.  Ron heads over to the the Possible house to spend Christmas Eve with KP but then Wade calls about Shego stealing a battery. Though this is where the awesomeness of Ron comes in.  He knows how much Christmas with her family means to KP and doesn't want a mission to interfere so he decides to try and go on the mission solo so that he can let his best friend have a night off.  Well okay, he has Rufus with him but still, this is awesome.  This shows how much he cares about KP that he is willing to put aside enjoying the festivities just so that Kim doesn't have to work. Now I don't how important this is but it's shown that even though Ron loves celebrating Christmas, he is actually Jewish but I don't think that truly matters here. Moving on, this is a moment where I have to applaud Ron.   Sure, the mission didn't go as well as he hoped because KP had to save him but at least he tried.   Bravo, Ron Stoppable, bravo.

4.   Mickey and Minnie giving up their most treasure items for each other -   Mickey and Minnie's The Gift of the Magi (Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas)

This is bar none the best segment from Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas and it really shows how much these two care for each other.  This short is an adaption of my second favorite Christmas story, The Gift of the Magi and Mickey and Minnie were the perfect characters to use for this segment.  Now instead of the classic tale, where the wife cuts off her hair and the husband gives up a gold watch, here the items are a harmonica and a watch and just like the classic tale, these two trade them in as they have no money to buy each other gifts.  But they realize that all they need is each other.

3.  Hmph! Listen, Scrooge, if men were measured by kindness, you'd be no bigger than a speck of dust -  Mickey's Christmas Carol

Now I've made it no secret that I'm not a big fan of Jiminy Cricket except for his role on Once Upon A Time and here in Mickey's  Christmas Carol.  He was just perfect as the Ghost of Christmas Past and had one of my favorite lines as  Past is basically  telling Scrooge with this line that there is more to care about then money and at the end of the day,  you need to realize that.    I've always loved this line as I've seen it as a bit of a way to knock some sense into Scrooge.

2.    The Boy Giving Small One to Joesph - The Small One

Now it was a tough call on where to place this one and I went back and forth over whether or not, I wanted it on the list but I decided that it should be on here. The Small One is a short that I first discovered last year about a young boy and his donkey.  The donkey is a little guy and the boy is told by his father that he must sell the donkey. In the beginning, no one wants to take the donkey because they think he's a joke but at the end of the short, the boy gives Small One to Joesph and to think that the donkey we saw all throughout this short is the one that carried Mary is quite amazing and it shows that no matter how small, you can do big things.

1.  Mickey giving Kids a better Christmas -  Mickey's Good Deed

I figured it had to be this one. If you recall I reviewed this short last year and I think the thing that made me decide to put it on the list was that Mickey gave up Pluto, his best friend to give these kids whose mother could not afford a Christmas for them.   I was shocked that Mickey was willing to part with Pluto but he was willing to put his needs to the side to help those less fortunate.  That's amazing to me that Mickey to help those was willing to part with his best friend.   It was just so touching and heartbreaking because you'd never think that Mickey and Pluto would part ways.

Join me tomorrow as I do a back to back of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas starting with...
