A Look at Disney World: My Thoughts On The Tangled Toilets and Seating Area

Hello & welcome back to A Look at Disney World.  This is admittedly, the weirdest subject, I've ever covered on this blog.  What am I talking about today? A Bathroom.  Okay, before you click off this article and go watch something by BBHM or someone else, let me explain.  As I've mentioned in the past, one of my all time favorite movies is Tangled. And well Tangled is now being represented in the Magic Kingdom.  Just not in the way, I was hoping as it's a bathroom.  Do you have any idea how conflicting that is as a Tangled fan?   I mean on the one hand, I'm happy that Tangled is now getting some repersantion in the parks but as a bathroom.  That feels a little weird.  No matter, there is another reason for this article to show that Disney takes themes the extra mile and into places where you think people wouldn't care such as a bathroom.  Now you have noticed in the title, that I referred to these as The Tangled Toilets. Wells, that's what the fans have dubbed them.  (I swear, this will be the only time I ever do a blog on a bathroom).   I don't even know where to start on this.  Let's start with the sinks, I guess.

Okay,  I love the addition of the frying pans as a reference to the film because the frying pan because as you''ll recall that was Rapunzel's weapon of choice. And ya know, the frying pans remind me more of a kitchen and less of a bathroom.  That makes sense, right?    So, apparently this is the men's room.  I would've put it in the ladies room  as I associate the pans with Rapunzel  i.e. the female lead of the film but then I wouldn't get to see them, so that's cool. Apparently the ladies room has a mural in it.  Okay, cool I can dig that.

As it is a direct reference to the best song in the movie,  When Will My Life Begin.  Now there is more outside as well because they can take the theme outside as well such as the wanted posters.

And this one has the best Tangled reference.  Look at Flynn's nose, remember how they could never get it right in the film?  Well, his nose is off in this poster as well.   That is some serious attention and the outside, I guess you could call it sitting area looks like the kingdom of Corona.

I mean, the floating lights are there, the floating lights are there.   Okay screw it, if this is all I get for Tangled, I'll take it because this is beautiful and it looks as though, they just plopped the movie in New Fanstayland.  But the part and I'm not exaggerating when I said I had a fanboy moment, when I saw the tower.

The tower is in the park, I repeat, The tower is in the park!  Squee! I'm sorry, that's very unprofessional but I can't help it,   it's Rapunzel's tower.   Do you have any idea how cool that is!  Her tower is in the park.  That is beyond awesome!    This is worth it for me.  Okay,  I haven't actually gone over the seating area. It's pretty basic really.  Here...

Kinda reminds me of The Snuggly Duckling.  Oh and don't worry, Max and Pascal are here too.

Of course, they'd  put Maximus on the staff sign. Makes perfect sense for the character.  And as for Pascal,  well they have a hiding game, where you have to find him.   Seems kinda cute.

So overall, this is pretty cool and while I'm happy my second favorite Disney movie is being represented in the parks,  I was at first taken aback that it was a bathroom and I'll admit, I'd rather see a Tangled ride but hey if this is all I get, I'll take it because it's perhaps the best themed bathroom, I've ever seen.  Even if I didn't spend much of the article talking about the bathroom itself.  Tell me in the comments, what are your thoughts on this. Peace! Join me next time for our first Music Fridays of A Look at Disney World.

  1. The tower isn't as good as you think it'd be since the force perspective doesn't work and thus it looks very obviously fake

    1. I understand that but I'd need to see it in person.
