Hello & welcome back to A Look t Disney Christmas. And to an article, that I'm so excited for as I get to talk about Christmas at Disney World. Now I won't be covering everything. Let's start with the Magic
Magic Kingdom
Our first event on this list is one that I've actually had the pleasure of attending. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate ticket party that happens on select nights during November - December. It includes a parade, cocoa stops, and special parties such as one hosted in Tomorrowland called the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas.
Now however, the highlight of the party for me was getting my picture taken with Mickey in his house. As that was the last year to do so because it was the year before ToonTown was demolished to make way for New Fantasyland.
That's me in the Mickey jacket. I was on cloud 9 after and it was great.
Jingle Cruise
Jingle Cruise is a new holiday lay over for this year. Jingle Cruise is a holiday lay over of the Jungle Cruise, if you could not tell. From what I understand, they have incorporated Christmas decorations, holiday themed jokes and re-named the ships to includes things such as Eggnog in the title and skippers now Christmas jokes. The story goes that the skippers are lonely on this island and want to enjoy the holiday as they are missing their homes and decided to add some decorations.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights
Now to understand, this event. You need a little history. Here ya go.
This stunning spectacle started modestly in Arkansas as a single home's annual display. Every year, Jennings Osborne and his family set up an elaborate collection of holiday lights. Over time, the collection of lights grew and grew... and grew! In 1995, the Osborne family decided to share their magic with the world. Walt Disney World Resort happily offered to become the new permanent home for this exceptional exhibition of holiday cheer.
So, it was just a family who loved putting up Christmas lights but it got out of hand until they ran out of room but Disney World now hosts the event. Now it's a light show all throughout the park with different shows such as moving lights. Okay and maybe it's just me but I love that giant light switch up there. Now this year, Disney World is trying something new as they are incorporating their new Glow with the Show Mouse ears into the event.
What's these do is the ears light up with the lights in certain locations. They've just been brought over to Disney World this year. They debuted at Disneyland last year and from what I've heard, it seems as though they had great success.
Animal Kingdom
Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade
From what I've read, this parade is just a Christmas lay over as Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. Apparently, the biggest difference is that it just throws in some Christmas decorations and Christmas music into the parade. And while I can't speak to this parade, it doesn't look very different from Jammin' Jungle. Take a look.
Then again, I don't really see why this park even needs a Christmas event. Ah well.
There you have it, my look at the Christmas events at the 4 parks. I may go in depth and do more next year but I had to cut this one short due to not having time to work on it but I'm still happy with it turned out. Join me tomorrow for the first ever Christmas Shorts Showcase Showdown as I pit two Chip 'n' Dale shorts up against each as I look at...
