Music Fridays # 45: Theme Songs of TV Shows Based on Disney Films

Hello and welcome back to Music Fridays. Today's Music Fridays is similar to that of the very first Music Fridays, where I took a look at the theme songs of shows from the Disney Afternoon. Today,  I'm changing things up and looking  at theme songs for TV based on the Disney films, with that said, let's begin.

The Little Mermaid Intro

Here's one that DisneyOtoko will like.  This intro while simple works and it really does a great job of showing this world and the instrumentals of Part of Your World and Under The Sea go nicely together here.  It makes for a nice blend and it is really soothing and relaxing.   I don't find this to be like most TV themes where they get you excited to watch the show, this actually I think could calm a child down.

Timon & Pumbaa Intro

Now majority of the themes, I'm looking at are reworkings of songs from the perspective film in which the show was spun off from.  This is no exception and  this version of Hakuna Matata is okay and it works for a TV theme but when compared to the original, it doesn't stand a chance.  With that said though, I loved this show.  This was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid and I'm pretty sure that I still have a VHS of couple of episodes that I got when this show was still on the air. This was probably one of the funniest Disney shows ever.

Aladdin Intro

This intro and theme, heck this show has often been regarded as one of the best Disney shows from the '90s and you know it is. You want action, you got it and this is one of those intros that gets you excited to see the show from choosing the right clips to using Arabian Nights. Everything and I mean everything about this intro works seamlessly.

Hercules Intro

Another favorite of mine, I really liked this show and I love it's intro. Something about it that makes it feel bigger than it actually is. With this one it feels as though your at a party with The Muses singing  and gives a fun vibe, making me feel like, yeah I want to watch this show because it looks like fun and it was. I'd go so far as to say that I'd put this one up there with the Aladdin intro.

Well, I hope that you have enjoyed this look at these TV themes. Join me next week  when I take a look at the music of Roger Rabbit as part of Roger Rabbit Week.
