Top 6 KP Characters That Aren't Kim Possible

Hello & welcome back to A Look at Disney.  A show that I haven't covered in a while is Kim Possible and  as I made mention in the past, this is one of my favorite animated series of all time is Kim Possible.  And one of the great things about this show is the characters,  this show is filled to the brim with great characters and while KP is one of my all time favorite characters,  I want to focus on some of the other great characters and seeing as I already did a KP Villains list,  I'll only be focusing on the good guys.   With that out of the way, let's begin.

6. Joss Possible

Coming in at # 6 is Joss Possible (voiced by Tara Strong), Kim's 12 year old cousin.  Now she only appeared in one episode, Showdown at the Crooked D, where Kim's uncle Slim took care of cybernetic horses.   Now,  Joss looked up to her older cousin Kim, so much so to the point that she knew every mission, and every villain that KP had faced.   The girl looked up to older cousin so much that as you can see here, she even dressed like Kim.  Well, that is until the end, where she starts looking up to Ron, and sees him as the real hero.   (I need to re-watch this episode, it was really good.  May need to do a future review on it).  Also, Joss has this great line regarding Shego.

I mean, I know Dr. Drakken is your arch foe, but it seems to me Shego's the really dangerous one. I mean, if she put her mind to do it, she could be the toughest villain out there, don't you think?

The big reason, Joss is on the list is because I like young characters that look up to someone older to the point of wanting to be them.  Now some KP fans have pointed out that Joss, with her design almost looks like she could be Kim's little sis.  I could kinda see that and I do wish that Joss had been in another episode, where maybe she went on a mission with Kim and Ron, that would've been fun.  I mean, she wasn't even in the series finale, yet her father was there. Really, guys, she was such a great character.   And Joss kinda reminds me of why I like Scootaloo because they both look up to an older figure and want to try and duplicate their actions, yet I do think that Joss takes it a little further then Scootaloo ever did.

5.  Wade

Coming at # 5 is Wade (voiced by Tahj Mowry).   At the start of the show, Wade  was a ten year old super genius that had completed high school and college in such a short span time.  Now,  Wade was the one that provided tech and info for Kim and Ron on their various missions.  Now in the first few seasons, Wade never left his room and just worked from there but that changed when Team Impossible used a virus to shut down his system.  Now,  while Wade was portrayed a bit of the stereotypical nerd, it was never played maliciously.  His smarts were always used to help the team and he proved to be one of the most worthy assets to Team Possible.

4.  Mr. Barkin

Coming in at # 4 is Mr. Barkin (voiced by Patrick Warburton),   Barkin is the no-nonsense permanent substitute of  Middleton High.   He is just so over the top with his military style of running every class, he teaches and he just is so hilarious to watch.  And the big reason that he is such a delight to watch is Patrick Warburnton.   Seriously, every time Barkin is on-screen, he steals the scene with his antics.  Another great aspect is how he clashes with Ron,  who's personality is so vastly different from Barkin, that watching those two work together is a treat.  Because when you put the strict and stern Barkin with the laidback  Ron Stoppable,  you are going to great some comedy.  So, small tangent,  it wasn't until the third season that I realized that Barkin was played by the same person that played Kronk.

3.  Felix Renton

Coming at # 3 is Felix Renton (voiced by Jason Marsden).  Felix is on the list for  rather personal reasons as I've brought up in the past,  I had to spend my sophomore and senior years of high school in a wheelchair.  And  I've always felt that children's television never appropriately portrayed characters in wheelchairs and decided to instead just focus on their disability and make them feel more like wild creatures.  That was until I saw Felix in the first episode that he appeared in, which was "Motor Ed".  Now sure, Kim did have some awkward and uncomfortable moments but that is more because she is jealous of Ron hanging out more with Felix then then Felix being in a wheelchair.  Yeah,  Felix made  jokes about being in a wheelchair and that did bug Kim but she got over it as time went on.  And Felix for his part never let being in a wheelchair get him down,  he enjoyed sports and video games and hanging out with Ron.  Of course,   when his wheelchair can do this...

I wouldn't complain.      His mom was genius in cyber-robotics and used that to upgrade her son's chair.  Although, in the second episode that he appeared Dr. Drakken and his cousin Motor Ed stole Felix's wheelchair.

That of course got Felix mad and probably the only time, Shego thought the villains  were going below the belt.  With all of this said,  I still like Felix  because it shows that characters that are wheelchair bound do NOT have to be defined by their disability.  I know I've spent a lot of time on that. To talk some more about Felix, as I mentioned up top, he is easygoing and laid back and things really don't get to him too much.  He always seems to have a positive outlook on life.  Also, this is pretty cool,  Jason Marsden, Felix's VA worked with Will Fredile on Boy Meets World,  which starred another KP cast member, as well, Rider Strong.

Oh, and he's also the voice of Max Goof, one of my all time favorite characters, and Richie from Static Shock.

Man,  this guy was in a lot of stuff, I loved as a kid.

2. Ron Stoppable

Coming at # 2 is Ron Stoppable (voiced by Will Freidle),   Ron is a great character that provides the much needed comic relief and plays well as the wacky sidekick to Kim's straight woman. He's silly, lazy and over the top but at the same time, he has a lot of heart and is always there when Kim needs him, through thick and thin,  and will do anything to help out his best/girlfriend.   Also,  as brought up on my Top 6 Inspirational Characters List,  Ron is willing to face all of his fears by going on these missions to help Kim.  Though,  I don't think he really got over his fear of monkeys that much but then again, he was given Mystical Monkey Powers in the show at one point. Still, he's a great character.

1.  Rufus

And my # 1 favorite character from Kim Possible that is not Kim is Rufus (voiced by Nancy Cartwright).   Honestly, as a kid watching this show, Rufus was my favorite character.  He's not the most complex or interesting character on the show.  But he is the most fun,  he's an adorable little naked mole rat that is fun and has silly little reactions to everything that Ron does and plus, he has proven to be a useful member of Team Possible.  To say that he is just the mascot of Team Possible would be an insult to Rufus as he has more then on one occasion helped save the day.  And he helped take down the baddies in So The Drama.   And plus the little guy got a part-time job at Bueno Nacho, well if this game is anything to go by.

Rufus is just a fun character to watch and rather so funny and silly but also smarter then people give him credit for.  Let's end this with The Naked Mole Rap, explaining how Ron got Rufus.

There, you have it, my Top 6 KP Characters That Aren't Kim Possible. If you watched the show, who are some of your favorite KP character?  Let me know, in the comments.  So, that's the sitch!
