Who here hasn't seen the Toy Story films, they are all great with Toy story 2 being my personal favorite. This trilogy has given quite an ensemble of characters. So sure there is Buzz and Woody but today, I'm counting who I consider to be The Top 6 best Toy Story Characters that are not a cowboy or a space ranger. Let's begin.
6. Bullseye
Bullseye first appeared in Toy Story 2 and he definitely was one of my favorite characters. Bullseye is one of the few Toys in the film who acts more like an animal than anything else. He has some dog like qualities. I have always thought he was one of the cutest and funniest Toy Story characters.
5. The Aliens
The Aliens are some pretty funny characters and I love the line of "The Claw". They definitely have had some great exposure as they were in all three films and were also given a starring role in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. That was an awesome cartoon by the way. To think these characters went from just being comic relief to actually saving the day in the third film. Now I have mentioned this before but there is Toy Story: The Musical and one thing that bugged me is with the play is that they do not have Sid take home one of the Aliens. I'm okay with some story changes and sure that was minor in the movie but even still that bugged to no end.
4. Slinky Dog
Slinky Dog reminds me of good ol' southern boy or in this dog who wants nothing more than to have fun. He remains loyal to his friends such as evidenced by when he sticks by Woody in the first film while the rest of them don't. Slinky seems like the type of toy that you would want to have as a friend. Part of that I believe had to do with his voice actor from the first two films, Jim Vareny of Ernest fame. I think Slinky was his best role but sadly he passed away before the third film so they replaced him with Blake Clark. Who did a good job but it wasn't the same. You might not know the name but if you ever watched Boy Meets World, he played Mr. Hunter, Shaun's dad.
3. Hamm
Hamm is a pretty cool character and his humor I think comes from his dry wit. In some ways, Hamm reminds me of another character played by his voice actor, John Ratzenberger. I'm referring to the character of Norm from "Cheers". I say that because they both have trivial knowledge and spew it out fast. I think that is part of the reason I like him because I like to research things for fun, so my old noggin is full of useless trivia. Most of it is Disney trivia but that isn't so useless now with my blog.
2. Rex
Rex, aw what a lovable dino. All he want is to be scary but he is such a worry wort. Give the guy credit for trying. It has to be tough to be a dino with a inferiority complex. Poor guy but I love him all the same. He is so funny and I just want to see him succeed. It doesn't hurt that he has my favorite line form the best Toy Story film, Toy Story 2. That line is "But I don't wanna use my head". The best way to show why I love that line is with a clip.
1. RC
RC is my all time favorite character from any Toy Story film even though he isn't in Toy Story 2, which is my favorite. It's hard to say why. He doesn't have a big role except for saving Woody and Buzz. In some aspects, he reminds of Bullseye with how he is a dog like character. I honestly believe part of the reason why he is my favorite character is pure nostalgia because when I was a little kid, I used to own an RC toy along with Buzz and Woody that I got one Christmas that were being sold at Burger King. I have always liked his character and you can imagine how upset I was when he didn't appear in the third film. Although I read online that alongside Bo Beep was sold in a garage sale. That made me really sad as he was my favorite character.
