Classic Pixar Shorts Showcase: One Man Band

Hello & welcome back to A Look at Disney welcome back to Classic Pixar Shorts Showcase.  And today, we are taking a look at the 2005 short, One Man Band.  With that out of the way, let's begin.

The Plot

We open this short on our first character that we are introduced to, Bass.  A one man band entertainer that is trying to make money on the street but no one is around. Then we see a young girl, Tippy  come along and she has a coin.  She is about to toss it into a fountain and then Bass steps up his game and gets even louder and more intrusive.   He almost gets it from Tippy but then another rival street performer, Treble comes in with bigger and better instruments to play with and it becomes a battle of the street performers to see who can get Tippy's coin.   Things get more and more absurd as more and more instruments come out.  And the two get in each other's face and sadly, this causes Tippy's coin to go down the drain.   Treble, who had miniature violins is demanded by Tippy to give her one and he does and now our two street performers have a new rival who in one go, gets an entire sack of coins.   And to tease the street performers she tosses two coins into the fountain as the short ends.  All in all, this was a very enjoyable short and a great watch.  A huge improvement over last week's short.

Characters

Bass

Bass was an all right character, who  was entertaining to watch. Especially during his spout with Treble.  I really wanted to see him get the coin though because he was just working and he had this corner first.

Treble

Treble just had to come in and ruin everything.    Bass was there first.   Treble should've moved on and found another street corner to preform on.

Tippy

Tippy was an alright character and fun to watch.  You could see how tightly she held onto that coin.   And it was fun watching her at the end, when one upped the two street performers.

My Final Thoughts

All in all, this was a great short.  Check it out, you'll probably enjoy it.  It was a lot of fun.  Join me next week as I take a look at...
