Take A Look at Disney

Top 6 Disney Princesses

Welcome to the final Top 6 as the three part Top 6 special.  In the past two countdowns, I have counted down the Top 6 Heroes and  the Top 6 supporting Characters. Today, I will be doing a countdown of what Disney does best.  I will be counting down the Top 6 Disney Princesses.

6. Snow White  - Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs

How could I do a countdown of Princesness and not include Snow White?  I couldn't, even though she is the first Disney Princeness, there is a reason why I placed at number six.  Snow White was just a little too innocent and not very assertive but that could also be said for my number 5 pick.

5. Rapunzel  - Tangled

Look, I do not care what you call this movie. You have to see it because it is a return to the classic Disney formula and Rapunzel is in my eyes a classic Princeness.  She is reminiscent  of the ladies from the Disney Renaissance while still being a Princeness for this generation.   Rapunzel starts off as shy and unsure young girl but through her adventure she becomes an independent young lady.

4. Tiana -  The Princeness & the Frog

Tiana just as with many other Princenesses from the Renaissance was very indpendent and career driven.  I liked that because it showed if you want something you have to work for your dream to come true.

3.  Jasmine -  Aladdin

Jasmine unlike Rapunzel and Snow white was very assertive and she knew what she wanted.  At times, she could appear abrasive but that is only because she has a good head on her shoulders and knows what she wants and does care if she is told no.

2. Belle - Beauty & the Beast

Belle, I enjoy because she is again indpendent and is not going to let smug Gaston get her and she is able to transform Beast.  Perhaps, the biggest reason I love Belle is because she reads and does not care what people think about her reading.  I beleive you could have hours upon hours of conservations on good books with her.

1. Ariel - The Little Mermaid

I view Ariel as the perfect Disney Princeness. She is adventorus, spunky and loves to have fun.  And ultimatey she is curious about the unknown as we all are at some point in our life.  She loves to have fun and when she knows she is in love, she is willing to stand up to her father and defend herself.

There you go, the Top 6 Disney Princeness but wait...

I have planned something special for you guys, I want you to go through and pick your favorite Hero, Sidekick/Supporting Character and Princeness. Just write them down and I will reveal them in a future post.

  5. This is such an old list that my rankings have changed. Rapunzel would be number 1, followed by Elsa and Cinderella would probably be number 6. As for Auroua, never liked her or her movie.
