Christmas Shorts Showcase: Santa's Workshop

Hello & welcome back to the Christmas celebration.  Today, we enter the final phase as I take a look at two classic Silly Symphony shorts featuring the Jolly Old Man himself.  So join me as I take a look at Santa's Workshop.

The Plot

Admittedly, there isn't much of a plot here.  It's more of just a short showing off Santa's workshop and the basis is Santa and the elves are getting ready for Christmas Eve.   We see Santa read off the lists and build the toys.   That pretty much sums up the plot of the short but this short was so much fun to watch because Santa's Workshop was so pretty that I wanted to visit it.  Just look at it.

I just love the fantastical look of Santa's Workshop.   It makes me want to visit Santa at his workshop.

Character

Santa Claus voiced by Allan Watson

I just loved Santa in this short. He was so cheerful and happy.  He just felt so welcoming and inviting.  Perhaps, his most distinguishing feature is big boastful laugh that is just so endearing.   You also gotta love all he packs up the toys.

And of course the short ends with Santa riding off in his sleigh.

I always love seeing Santa in his sleigh. It's great and it just feels right  Also,  I think that Moon is supposed to be a reference to a film but I can't figure out the name.   Anyways back on topic,  I really liked this Santa. I'd say he's high up on my list of favorite Santa's as he is just happy and fun.

My Final Thoughts

This is a great short.  I love it,  I really suggest it as it's a Disney Christmas classic.   Try and track this one down. It is very much worth watching.  Join me next time when I close the Christmas articles as I take a look at this short's unofficial sequel...
