Top 6 Fictional Restaurants

You know, it's funny but there have been quite a few fictional restaurants that have appeared in both Disney TV and film and today, I've decided to countdown my Top 6 Fictional Restaurants.  Now the only rule that I've set up is that the food served at these restaurants must be edible by humans.  So that rules out anything from the Cars world,  and also I should point out that while this list is labeled as Fictional, at least two on the list on real life counterparts.  With that out of the way, let's begin.



6.  Bueno Nacho - Kim Possible

Number 6 on our list is the only fast food chain our list.  From Kim Possible, it's Bueno Nacho, a parody of Taco Bell. Bueno Nacho was a constant throughout KP's run and a hangout for Kim and Ron.   At one point, they even took a job there and Ron proved be better at working here and even invented  perhaps the chain's most famous and most disgusting meal, the naco.  A mix of a taco and nachos.   Now I like this restaurant because it was refreshing to see KP and Ron just hang out and be normal teens and this place was their hangout and while it may not have the best look to it, it's funny.


5.  Tony's - Lady and The Tramp

Number 5 comes from Lady and The Tramp and it's Tony's.  Now true, we don't t to see much of the restaurant in the film but it does serve an important in the film as Lady and Tramp have their first date here and Tony makes sure that they only have the finest to eat and  if you recall,  I said up top, there are at least two on this lost that have real life counterparts and this one of them.  On Main Street in The Magic Kingdom there is Tony's Town Square Restaurant

To me that makes sense and of course one of the classic moments, Bella Notte takes place here.









4.  House of Mouse/Ink & Paint Club  - House of Mouse/Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Coming at number 4, we have our only tie from House of Mouse, House of Mouse and from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Ink & Paint Club.   I knew that I wanted both of these on the list and for those wondering they're tied is because they share similar ideas, toons can go there and have a good time but I think one of the biggest differences besides that Ink & Paint Club has animated characters from different companies, it has a more real world feel to it whereas House of Mouse still has that cartoony feel to it.  I love both of these places and I had to think long and hard about the placing of House of Mouse because I wanted to put it at # 1 but  I realized that there was another restaurant that was more poignant. Now I should clarify that I'm comparing a TV show to a movie.  

3.  Pizza Planet - Toy Story

Okay, who didn't expect this one to make the list.   Pizza Planet is not only a staple of Toy Story but also Pixar and when it was first seen in Toy Story, it looked awesome. I think the best thing that  I could compare this to would be something along the lines of the now defunct Discovery Zone.   Which was something like Chuck E. Cheese but had more of an extreme feeling and that's what Pizza Planet times ten.  I mean who didn't want to go to Pizza Planet when they first saw it. Well you can at Hollywood Studios but from what I've heard it doesn't live up to the film version 

2.  Gusteau's -  Ratatouille 

Now I had to think long and hard about my Top 2 and at one point, this was my number one but as I said when talking about House of Mouse, there was one that was more poignant. Don't get me wrong,  Gusteau's is highly important to the film because in reality without Gusteau's there is no film and some ways,  Linguini   working here helped to develop his character and this was something different for Pixar and I really like the look and design of this restaurant and it really had the french feel to it and  I should also point out that this film had a cameo in Cars 2.  Very brief and minor at best.

1. Tiana's Palace - The Princess and The Frog

Well, here we are, I've been teasing this one.  Now I know that we didn't see Tiana's Palace until the end of the film but the biggest reason I placed this one so high is I like how hard Tiana worked to get her restaurant open and seeing at the end,  it's nice to see her dream fully realized and not only she is fulfilling her dream but she is also doing something that her father never got to as he wanted to open a restaurant all his life.  Out of all the restaurants in Disney films, this is the one that I want to see the most in a Disney park. I mean c'mon you have New Orleans Square and  you could put it there.  Maybe someday.   Still,  I like this one the most because  this one out of everything on the list feel has perhaps the biggest personal connection to any of the characters.
