Christmas Shorts Showcase: The Night Before Christmas

Hello and welcome back.   Well folks, we have reached the final Christmas review.  Join me as I take a look at The Night Before Christmas.  As I mentioned previously, this is considered an unofficial sequel to our last short, Santa's Workshop.

The Plot

Admittedly,  it's hard to call this one an adaption as while the basic premise of the poem is there but it cuts out a lot of important moments.   Nonetheless,  it's still very good.  This short takes place after Santa had left his workshop and we see him delivering the toys and decorating the house for a family while the children are asleep.  What I love is how he uses the toys to decorate and I gotta say, they did a bang up job on decorating this tree.

Another nice touch was that one of the toys was a Mickey toy.

Now all of the merriment does wake up the children after Santa and the toys had finished decorating and putting presents in their stocking. The look on the kid's face was just priceless when they saw the toys and then Santa.   They were just so wide eyed when they saw the jolly old man. This was a fairly good short and it was just so much fun.

Narration

Narrator - Donald Novis

I really love the narration in this short as it is very much sing song like and the voice is just so sweet as it is very poetic.

Character

Santa Claus - Uncredited

Now I'm not sure and it wasn't listed but I think Santa had the same voice actor in this short as he did in Santa's Workshop.    Once again, Santa was just so much and just so happy.  He was so endearing that you couldn't help but like him.  He was just so much fun to watch and him decorating the house for the family was so cute.

My Final Thoughts

This is another great classic Disney short that I suggest as it is just so much fun and so cute.  I really think you'll enjoy it.  Now I can't say if I like this one more then Santa's Workshop  but rather, I like them equally. Merry Christmas everyone!   Now I want to share two cool Disney Christmas Images with you.

Let's also close this out with a song.
