Hello & welcome back to A Look at Disney and today, we continue our look at Disney's Christmas Classics as we look at Cinderella's Christmas Party. With that outta the way, let's begin.
The Plot
We open on Cinderella being berated by her stepfamily as they get ready for a Christmas holiday in the Sunny South but poor Cinderelly is left behind at the manor. Wow, the Tremaines are just the worst. Her mice friends see this and want to do something special for Cinderella.
Cinderella watches the sleigh with her stepfamily pull away and she sits downtrodden at the stairs of the manor. But one of my favorite characters doesn't remain deterred for long. As she gets an idea.
This is when we see the Mice planning a Christmas surprise for Cinderelly and what the Mice don't realize is that she is planning a Christmas surprise for them as well.
And I gotta say that the Mice do good job of decorating. Towards the end though, things get a little weird s Fairy Godmother shows up s her wand had gone missing. Apparently, the choir mice had been using it as a conductor's stick. They return it to Fairy Godmother and they all have a wonderful Christmas Party.
This is a simple and cute story but one that I greatly enjoyed.
My Final Thoughts
As a fan of Cinderella, I think that this comic greatly captures her can do spirit and just shows how much she cares about her family including her mice friends and Fairy Godmother. Which was a bit of an odd inclusion but one that I'm willing to overlook as this story was really good and out of all the Disney Christmas comic strips, we've looked at so far, this is probably my favorite as it most captures the spirit of Christmas. I could see myself returning to this in the future. Peace!
