Take A Look at Disney

Music Fridays # 87: Anything Goes

Hello and welcome to Music Fridays # 87  Now today, we are doing something different. You see there are so many Disney songs out there I wish to cover for Music Fridays and sometimes, I don't want to be tied down by a theme or a I can't think of a theme to categorize the songs into.  Now that isn't always the case but that's why today I've decided to revive an old idea I had for Music Fridays. You see when Music Fridays was in it's early stages, I had the idea of doing what I called Grab Bag, which would be where I would take a look at songs that could've fit any category that I looked in the past. Anything Goes is the same idea minus the fact, that these song do not have to relate to anything I've looked at in the past on Music Fridays.  Now how shall I start off the very first Anything Goes?   Ah yes, I know.

Get'cha Head In The Game/We're All In This Together (Lilo & Stitch Style)

Okay, this has to be the weirdest thing ever and did Disney Channel make one of the earliest AMV's.  Well, okay maybe not.  Anyways this video is cross promotion for Lilo & Stitch: The Series and High School Musical.  It's fun and I love the fact that they were able to work in a plot that fit these two songs.  It was done surprisingly well. And okay, this was strange but I could actually see some of the aliens as HSM characters all too well such as Stitch as Troy and Angel as Gabriella.    This was just so cute to watch. Of course being an HSM fanboy doesn't hurt in that regard. Yeah, I like that movie. I've said it in the past and I'll say it again, I love the HSM trilogy.

I'm Not Ready To Be A Princess

I've been wanting to talk about this song on Music Fridays since this movie came out.  I really like this song and quite honestly, this was the best song in Sofia The First's debut movie.  It felt real.   Something, I noticed about this film is that it avoided the "I want"  song and instead replaced it with this song which is more along the lines of being scared and nervous.  Which makes perfect sense for a little girl that has been taken out of her surroundings.  She is feeling pressured by everything going on and you can see how it's getting to her. Honestly, after this song, I wanted to give Sofia a hug.

It's A Small World - The Muppet Show

Gotta love  The Muppets.   This is a great cover of a Disney song,  I love how the Muppets are the ones taking this seriously while their guest is the one acting silly.  I think what adds to the charm is that The Muppets just seem so reserved  and in a strange way, I find that The Muppets make this song more tolerable for me. Because normally, I'm not a fan of this song but I guess The Muppets can make anything better.

Disneyland - Five For Fighting

Okay, so our last song on this Music Fridays isn't a Disney song but rather a song about Disney.   The first time, I learned of this song was one of the many Disneyland podcasts I used to listen to.  For a Disney fan, this is a great song.  It reminds me why I love Disney. Not that I needed that reminder, mind you.   All in all, this is a great tribute to Disney and moreso Disneyland.

There you have it, I hope you've enjoyed this Music Fridays and let me know what you think of Anything Goes and if you'd like to see it in the future.
